Biography

He brings with him a myriad of experience to Internal Medicine Consultants as United Air Force Veteran, NP Lead, ICU Nurse/Charge Nurse and Acute Care Nurse practitioner with specialties in Oncology, Infectious Diseases and Critical Care. He is from Monterey, California where is was born and raised. In college, he was very active in leadership, philanthropy and was student athlete in which he competed nationally and internationally. During his service in the Air Force he has served foreign, domestic and in the time of War.

He holds a DNP/PhD from the University of Pittsburgh where he did his dissertation on Economic Toxicities on the effects of Acute Myeloid Leukemia and obtained his Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Board Certification. He also earned his Executive Masters in Health Administration from Texas A&M University and a Master of Public Health from the Medical College of Georgia. He completed his Fellowship with The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Clinical Oncology and holds an Advance Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner certification.

He has published in the fields of Oncology, Infectious Diseases, Nursing and Health Policy. He has experience in the private, public and academic sector in health, dealing with patient care, project management, evidence-base practice, analysis, quality improvement and health policy. He has led and participated in changing institutional policies to better patient care as well having received LEAN and Six Sigma training.

In addition, he is active in many professional and honor societies such as American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau, American College of Health Care Executives and Oncology Nursing Society.
